Considering retconning my name...

Yeah, as much as I like it, 'Jade Harley' just screams 'Homestuck ripoff' way too much. And it's not even my real name, so I don't really have a problem with changing it.

I'll be keeping 'Jade,' since I love the name and it fits Socks too much. I just need to settle on a good surname. I want something like 'Harley,' simple to say and sounds nice but formal. I was thinking maybe 'Lato' but that's a font.

I'll probably just kind of brainstorm ideas here until I come up with something I like.

Jade Emerald is just too cheesy, I guess, but it would go with the eyes and hair tips. No matter what you go with, I think you're firmly established as "Socks."

Yeah it's mostly the formal stuff I have the "real" name for. I like "Harley" because it's relatively soft, but things like "Recruit Harley" or "Assistant Harley" still sound formal. It's just... so obviously Homestuck.

I don't need something that fits my characters description, Jade does that very well. Ideally it wouldn't have hard consonants in it like "k" or "t" but if it sounds nice with Jade I might consider it.

Tobi3e that's a cool site, either way Socks Tigermark said it best, and I know that you will come up with a good name.

To find a name, you could try using Seventh Sacntum .com. I went there and got many different names that I will be using in my novel. They also have some other rather cool stuff and generators I think Fox should check out. Might help out a bit with some things.

Personally, "Jade Rorbarh- (Roar barr)" doesn't sound too bad, but it could be difficult for some people to say. But that is my two sense.

I'm trying out Fisher in my head. So far it's sounding nice, I just need to see if I can get used to it or if I find something I like more first.

Fisher... I don't know, it seems a soldier's name. "Recruit Fisher" sounds good. But... I can't express my feelings properly, it just seems strange on your character.
But that's only my thought.

*tableflip* I came up with an awesome surname for a Darnathi character. Maybe if Fox lets me make one someday I can go about making things painfully difficult for her :3

On the other hand it also kind of meets my ideals as well. It's a bit 'tough' sounding though...

Bah. The part that makes this hard is because this name change is for my character everywhere, not just the Overlordiverse.

Recruit Fisher, Jade Fisher. Jade "Socks" Fisher, whichever you use, it does sound good.

I mean, I'm still gonna be going by 'Socks,' it's just for formal type stuff that I'd be using her full name, or for people that don't yet know my nickname like TM in the Day 1 bootcamp thread.
